MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating after a school bus suffered some damage Tuesday afternoon.

According to authorities, MPD received a call from Durham saying one of its buses had a window shot out as it was turning onto Jackson Avenue around 4:15 p.m.

Twelve middle school aged children were on board at the time. No one was hurt.

Authorities spoke to WREG and said they did not receive a shooting call from the area. In addition, the bus driver did not hear a gunshot. All the driver heard was the breaking glass.

Police have determined the damage to the window was caused by a small object and there is a crack in the window as well.

The bus is equipped with video, and police said they will be looking at it to determine what exactly happened.
