MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are working to identify suspects following the city’s 200th homicide of 2016.

Police say a man was shot and killed around 12:15 a.m. Monday outside James Lounge at Summer Ave. and Hillcrest St. in the Binghampton area.

When officers arrived, they found the man lying on the sidewalk outside the nightclub.

He was taken to the Regional Medical Center but died en route to the hospital.

Police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.

This is the fourth shooting involving James Lounge in the last five years.

According to the WREG archives, police responded to shootings there in January 2016, January 2015 and January 2012.

The nightclub reopened earlier this year after being shut down as a public nuisance by the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.
