MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The deputy director for the Shelby County Jail, David Barber, was forced to resign after it was discovered he posted on Facebook that he thinks the KKK is more American than the first family.

He made many disparaging remarks about the president and also worried whether the media's portrayal of mixed marriages is an attempt to eliminate the white race.

Is it time for a social media policy in county government? Or do we have to accept all free speech, whether we like it or not?
