Cordova Kroger robbed Saturday afternoon

CORDOVA, Tenn. — A Kroger in Cordova was robbed Saturday afternoon.

It happened at the store at 1230 Houston Levee Road.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, a man asked the clerk at the customer service desk for a $316 money order.

At that time, another man went behind the counter and demanded the clerk open the drawer, according to SCSO.

SCSO said the second man implied he had a weapon, but none was ever seen.

The suspect took cash from the drawer and ran away, SCSO said.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

No arrests have been made yet, and SCSO is investigating.
