MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A routine trip down Madison Street turned into a nightmare for one driver.

Police told WREG she was out Sunday evening when she started getting sick. She pulled over. That's when police say a man approached her and demanded she fork over a dollar.

"Go on about your business, go make your own dollar. That is what I am doing making my own dollar, I`m not doing crime. I am just making my dollar," said Don Perkins who works on Overton Square.

According to the police report ,the man in dark clothing punched the woman and took her purse. He ran off before the woman could get a good look at him.

"They aint got no job they just want to be out here and commit crime."

Police picked up the woman driver`s license near North McLean.
