JACKSONVILLE, Fl. — A prank at a Jacksonville school has caused quite a stir on social media.

According to WJXT, two handwritten signs were taped above the water fountains at First Coast High School on Wednesday. One read “colored” and the other “whites only.”

The district told news media staff members pulled the signs down immediately. Officials will be looking into the incident when they get back to school on Monday.

It’s believed the incident was just a prank by one of the students.

“The signs placed on top of the fountains are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by our school district,” Superintendent Dr. Nikolai Vitti said in a statement. “We are investigating the matter to determine who is behind the action to provide the appropriate discipline and counseling.”
