Arrest made in robbery that led to murder of Mississippi State student

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Another arrest has been made in an attempted robbery that led to a deadly shooting of a Mississippi State University senior over the weekend.

Now four men are behind bars, charged in connection with the death of 21-year-old Joseph Tillman.

Starkville Police say 20-year-old Jaylen Barker is charged with Tillman’s murder, and three others are charged with accessory.

Tuesday, the U.S. Marshal Task Force arrested Syboris A. Pippins in connection with the robbery.

Tillman was found dead in Starkville’s Cotton District Sunday morning.
