MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man is behind bars, accused of attacking and robbing a woman outside the Bestway on Frayser Boulevard.

WREG’s Luke Jones reported the incident happened October 7.

According to police, the woman was exiting the business with the nightly deposit when she said a familiar looking man approached her. He put a gun to her head and demanded the money.

The victim tried to flee, and that’s when he allegedly began hitting her across the head with the gun.

He then took all of the money and fled in a red Chevrolet Impala.

After further investigation, police determined there was a reason the victim recognized her attacker.

They said he had been inside the store on numerous occasions prior to the incident.

A photo of the suspect was released to the public, resulting in a tip that the suspect’s name was Siranthony Williams and the getaway driver was Jamar Reed, the boyfriend of a Bestway employee.

The victim confirmed Williams was the one who attacked her.

Williams was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with aggravated robbery.
