Woman who said she lied to cover for her father after deadly crash will not be charged

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman who told police she lied about being behind the wheel during a fatal hit and run will not be charged.

Last month Elixabeth Blackwood was charged with driving a truck that hit a couple on a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, 53-year-old Bruce Kingdon of Millington, was killed in the crash.

His female passenger was taken to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition and suffered a severed leg.

Blackwood later said she lied to cover for her father.

Felix Blackwood was later charged.
