TBI agents investigating murders of child and adult in Toone, Tennessee

TOONE, Tenn. -- A young boy and his father, Joe Dandrea Robertson,  were found dead in a Hardeman County home Friday morning around 7:30 a.m.

Two other children, 5-years-old and a newborn, were not harmed.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation sent its Violent Response Team truck and forensic scientists to the 2500 block of Naylor Road.

Former Hardeman County Mayor Willie Spencer told our Shay Arthur 13-year-old Javarrie Robertson had been dropped off at the home of his father by his mother, who is a vice principal in Fayette County.

Spencer knew the family from church and said Javarrie, who was also known as JoJo, was an avid basketball player and a good kid.

A spokesperson for the TBI said the deaths are considered homicides.

Both bodies have been sent to Memphis for autopsies.
