Man charged with exposing women to HIV

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man is charged with not telling two sexual partners he is HIV positive.

Marquez Ballard, 28, is charged with Criminal Exposure to HIV.

Two women told police they have tested positive for HIV after having unprotected sex with Ballard.

Both said they had ongoing sexual relationships with Ballard that did not include using condoms.

They also said they never had conversations about HIV or STDs.

Police say Ballard has been HIV positive since 2012.

One woman has two children with Ballard and found out she was HIV positive after being booked at Jail East.
