MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A security guard at Pure Passion is facing charges following Wednesday’s shooting.

Maurice Steele, 30, is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and impersonating a licensed professional.

According to the affidavit, Steele fired shots at two men who were shooting at each other in the parking lot.

One of the men ended up in the hospital.

Police say Steele later admitted that he didn’t have a state handgun carry permit to carry while on the job and said his license to work as a security guard had expired.
