Allegations teacher assaulted student in Helena West Helena being investigated

HELENA WEST HELENA, Ark. —  Allegations of a teacher hitting a student are being investigated by Helena West Helena Police.

An elementary school teacher allegedly hit the first grader several times with a ruler.

On September 12, 2016, Brenda Moss, the mother of a first grader filed an assault report with police.

Moss said her her daughter, a first-grader at JF Wahl Elementary School, came home from school and showed her several bruises on her left arm.

She said a teacher struck hit her with an object that caused two visible bruises on her arm.

Investigators have no t interviewed the teacher.

No charges have been filled against the teacher.
