MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Southwest Memphis family is homeless after their home went up in flames early Monday morning.

The fire started around 2:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Berea Road near Dunbar Road — which is just a few blocks from South Third Street and Mitchell Road.

Firefighters say flames and smoke were coming from the one-story home when they arrived moments after receiving a 911 call reporting the fire.

Luckily, everyone inside was able to get out safely and there were no injuries to either civilians or firefighters.

Investigators were on the scene for a while Monday morning trying to determine the cause of the fire.
