MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man has been charged with the assault of a woman outside Oak Court Mall.

A 95-year-old woman was walking toward Dillard's July 18 when a man walked up behind her and tried to take her purse.

The woman was dragged more than ten feet and suffered cuts and broken teeth.

The suspect eventually got the purse and ran away.

After surveillance video was aired on the news, a man came forward and identified the suspect.

When Adrew Richardson was arrested, police say a credit card with the  victim's name was clearly visible in the rear seat of his car.

WREG did some digging and found this is not Richardson's first brush with the law.

In 2013, he snatched another woman's purse in Crosstown.

A witness chased him down and Richardson pleaded guilty.

Richardson is charged with aggravated robbery.
