MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Informed Sources talk about the Mid-South connection in the race for president.

One day Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker confirmed he's being vetted by the Donald Trump campaign to be his running mate; the next day he took his name out of contention.

And the day after that, Trump tapped Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn to speak at the GOP convention, adding to speculation she may be on Trump's list of possible VP picks.
