Helping a teacher provide music education to his Marching Wildcats

Just before the end of the school year, a Shelby County elementary school teacher emailed us saying he wanted to help out a fellow teacher who took on a tremendous undertaking.

Markel Alexander said Corey Travis recently started a marching band for Hamilton and the kids love it.

It gives them exposure to the arts and builds their confidence.

More than 50 kids have already taken part, but the undertaking quickly added up financially.

A good chunk of that money comes out of the teacher's own pocket and that's why Alexander wants to Pass It On!
