Employee wanted in Burger King theft

JONESBORO, Ark. — A Burger King employee is allegedly on the run after police say he stole money from the business over the weekend.

According to Jonesboro Police, the store manager was doing paperwork Sunday afternoon when she noticed money was missing from the safe.

Surveillance video showed the employee walk into the store’s safe, remove the money and then place it into a trashcan.

He then changed out the trash bag and walked out the store.

The suspect reportedly got away with more than $2,147, KAIT reported.

No arrests have been made at this time.
