MARSHALL COUNTY, Miss. — Marshall County deputies are investigating an incident that happened at Foxfire Ranch Saturday.

More than a thousand people, many of whom are Ole Miss students, went to the ranch over the weekend.

Many were intoxicated, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Some of the students left the property and were walking in the road and ignoring security officers, the sheriff’s department said.

Anthony Scott Cantu, 20, is accused of head butting a security guard and breaking his nose.

The sheriff’s department said Cantu continued to resist after an off-duty deputy arrived to help the security guard.

More Marshall County deputies arrived.

A video of part of the fight was posted by Instagram account oldrowofficial that appears to show the security guard punching the student.

Cantu was arrested and charged with felony simple assault on a police officer.

The students left the ranch to head back to the Ole Miss campus about an hour after this incident, the sheriff’s department said.
