PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. — A woman from Booneville, Mississippi is behind bars after she tried to use the Good Book to cover up some shady business.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar told WCBI Sandy Reece visited the jail this week and tried to drop off a Bible for an inmate.

What she didn’t know was the item would be searched by jailers before being handed over to the inmate.

When law enforcement officers inspected the Bible they found tobacco and a Fentanyl patch hidden inside.

Reece was arrested and charged with two counts of introduction of contraband into a correctional facility, WTVA reported.

Her bond was set at $10,000.
