Police respond to Walgreen’s after man accidentally shoots himself

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police were called to a local Walgreen’s after a gun was fired Thursday evening.

The incident reportedly happened at the store in the 2400 block of Jackson just before 8:30 p.m.

At this point it’s unclear if the gun went off inside the store or outside in the parking lot, but we do know the woman who called 911 told dispatch her son accidentally shot himself.

He was taken to the Regional Medical Center, but is expected to be okay.
