A state Senate committee is scheduled to resume debate on the controversial de-annexation bill.

The bill was amended last week to include areas annexed before 1998 and to expand it to the entire state, not just select cities.

The legislation would allow annexed communities to hold elections to decide whether to de-annex themselves.

Memphis leaders say the city stands to lose millions in tax revenue if areas like Southwind and Cordova leave.

Here to talk about that and more are Shelby County Commissioners Willie Brooks and Terry Roland.
