MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police have taken two people into custody after a 12-hour standoff at the Value Place, an extended-stay hotel in the 5700 block of Shelby Oaks Drive.

The two people are a 22-year-old woman, who has felony drug warrants out for her arrest, and 25-year-old man who is facing aggravated robbery charges.

Police said the suspects came out of the room peacefully. The two had barricaded themselves in a room and refused to come out since Saturday morning.

Police confirmed the suspects did not hold any hostages.

Other guests staying at the hotel were evacuated from the building around 11 a.m.

Marked and unmarked police vehicles surrounded the hotel, and tactical units were on the scene as well.
