Memphis teen who stopped to help woman with car trouble killed in shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A teenager is dead and three people were hurt in a shooting Thursday night.

Police say a 17-year-old male was found lying in the street at 3862 Kerwood.

Three other people were shot and taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

Police say a 35-year-old female, who had an infant with her, was having car problems when she waved down someone for help.

A car stopped and two passengers got out to help the woman.

As this was happening, two other people approached the group and started shooting.

The male who was killed was one of the passengers who stopped to help the woman.

The other three who were shot were the woman and a 15 and 18-year-old from the car that stopped to help.

The child in the car has injuries to the face.
