GERMANTOWN, Tenn. -- If anyone can appreciate the new West Cancer Center on Wolf River Blvd in Germantown, it is Ellen Crouse.

"My cancer was diagnosed in November/October of 2014. So it's been a long journey for me," Crouse told WREG.

"For the first time in Memphis, we have it all under one roof, and we have the most advanced technology here," Lee Schwartzberg, Executive Director of the West Cancer Center, said.

The one-of-a-kind facility is the latest addition to what Germantown is calling the Medical Corridor.

Medical businesses have flooded the area for the past 20 years without any recruitment from the city.

The city is looking at bringing in more hotels to help meet the demand.
