Nurse charged with assault after allegedly spanking patient
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A nurse is in trouble after police said she spanked a patient.
Kathleen Robert, 63, is accused of the offense.
According to the affidavit, a mother and her son came into the Walgreens clinic on Union Avenue. The son, who is autistic, tried to play with the equipment while Robert was examining him.
Robert then grabbed the son’s arm and spanked him at least five times, police said.
The mother told police she did not give the nurse permission to do this.
Robert is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm.
