Man arrested for Loraine Road domestic violence shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The victim in Sunday’s shooting on Loraine Road is still in critical condition, but her alleged attacker is behind bars.

Police arrested Robert Jackson, 52, for aggravated assault and domestic violence-related shooting in connection with the incident. He was charged with attempted second-degree murder and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

Officers received the call about the shooting shortly after midnight. They responded to the 400 block of Loraine Road, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound in a bedroom.
