BURBANK, Ca. — Arguably one of the most iconic cartoon figures in America has turned 75-years-old.

According to CBS News,  on July 27 Bugs Bunny made his debut in Tex Avery’s “A Wild Hare”.

Though he wasn’t named in the original, the rabbit being hunted by Elmer Fudd exhibited the same style and mannerisms as the one we have come to know and love.

It even used the Bug’s famous catch-phrase.
