Qualified applicants turning up at Durham bus job fair

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- WREG was on hand a several people filled out applications to become bus drivers for Durham School Services on Tuesday.

The school bus company said they were looking to fill 50 driver positions at the Farmville location before school begins.

It's no secret in the past  Durham has had trouble finding people qualified for the job because of failed background checks and drug tests.

However one Manager WREG spoke with on Tuesday, said things were looking up.

"We're getting a good pool of applicants, but I think everybody knows our criteria, and so we're getting a better pool," Prentiss Chester, Supervisor with Durham School Services, said.

If you missed the job fair, you could apply at any location during the week.
