CLARKSDALE, Miss. -- An investigator walked into a taped off law office Saturday morning after what's supposed to be a place for justice is now a murder scene.

Investigators say, in the middle of a deposition, 33-year-old Recardo Frazier snapped, shooting and killing attorney and prosecutor Ellis Pittman.

People in town told WREG; the two men were involved in a legal battle over a home Frazier was once contracted to build for Pittman.

Tears that filled Frazier's neighbor's eyes were not just for Pittman but also for Pittman's newlywed wife and children.

Frazier's neighbor Lola Ikner lost her breath when WREG told her witnesses say Frazier killed Pittman Friday afternoon.

Gary Morgan says "the town's latest murder shows a problem in his hometown".

Another neighbor told WREG that Clarksdale needs to stand up and start take care of the crime.

Police said Frazier turned himself in without incident in connection with the shooting.

More information is expected to be released once the suspect is officially charged.
