Flu death toll rises in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Flu fears have hit a new high in Arkansas. A report was given after the state reported 25 deaths related to the virus.

The Health Department says 19of the deaths were people over the age of 65-years-old, four were between the ages of 45 and 64 and others were between 25 and 44.

Arkansas Children's Hospital says 175 children have tested positive for the flu since late September, and 33 was admitted with the virus between December 21st and 27th.

Officials say this year's strain has affected children and the elderly more than any other group.
