GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — A man has been arrested for stealing a dozen Apple computers and keyboards from the Germantown High School library earlier this week.

Thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip, Memphis police and Shelby County deputies found eight Apple computers and seven keyboards, some of which belonged to DeSoto County schools, at the Memphis Inn located in the 4800 block of American Way.

Lederrius Brown, 19, was with the stolen items. He admitted he and another person got into Germantown High School through an unlocked door Monday night and stole the computers and keyboards. He is now charged with burglary and theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000.

Investigators also learned Southaven Police were looking into numerous burglaries from DeSoto County schools. Southaven Police have obtained a warrant for burglary charges against Brown.
