MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say four people were shot early this morning outside a strip club near Memphis International Airport.

When police got to Pure Passion on East Brooks Road just before 4 a.m. Friday they discovered two shooting victims. Two others were transported to the hospital by private vehicles.

The victims told police they were outside the club when a white car, possibly a Nissan, drove off the lot and fired into the crowd.

One of the victims was transported to the hospital in critical condition and rushed into surgery. The other three are expected to be okay.

The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office shut down Pure Passion in 2008 due to drug activity, in 2012 one person was shot and killed outside the club and police investigated another shooting there in January.

Police say they were not able to locate any witnesses at the scene this morning.
