MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Hundreds of families will have a Thanksgiving dinner thanks to a Memphis Grizzlies player.

Zach Randolph, better known as Z-Bo, passed out 450 Thanksgiving meals at Booker T. Washington High School Monday.

"It's going to be happy. It's going to be good. A good Thanksgiving!" Chabara Wilson, who received a holiday box, said.

The line wrapped around the building.

"I'm on zero income. It will help a whole lot," Rochelle Brown asid.

The boxes were complete with a turkey, corn, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, green beans, cornbread and brownie mix.

"It is always important to give back. Sometimes people can't afford a meal on Thanksgiving. This will give some relief," Randolph said.

He said as a kid, his mother relied on holiday boxes too, which is one of the reasons he gives back.

"I came from this. I came from a struggle. I know what it is like not to have. I have been there. I can relate," Randolph said.

"I'm just so happy. Everybody here appreciates it," Dorothy Keita said. "When you find somebody that comes back and gives to the community, that ain't nothing but love."

Before the event was over, Randolph told WREG this Thanksgiving, he's thankful for "my family, the organization, the city, my team. I'm just always thankful."

This is the third year Randolph passed out holiday boxes.
