New Ballet Ensemble CEO Katie Smythe and dancer Brianna Brown have just returned from Washington where they met Michelle Obama at the White House.  The First Lady awarded the Memphis dance school with the 2014 National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award.   It's the first time an organization from Tennessee has won the award. Your next chance to catch New Ballet Ensemble in a live performance is their annual Nut ReMix show.  It is a modern-day version of The Nutcracker.  Performances are November 21 - 23 at The Cannon Center.
