MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Some say one way to keep kids out of trouble is to have parents active in their lives.

Saturday, Mid-South dads had some special father/son bonding time.

The Links Incorporated Shelby County chapter hosted a father/son brunch at LeMoyne-Owen College.

They did more than just break bread together, they talked about the importance of young men having a good role model in their lives.

The president of LeMoyne-Owen College, Johnnie B. Watson, was one of the speakers at the event.

Watson was also honored because he is retiring this year.
