LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. — An Endangered Child Alert has been issued for a 6-year-old girl.

Officials say Ashlynn Tay Young was last seen at David Crockett Elementary School in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., on September 8.

She was wearing a pink shirt, pink patterned skirt, and black boots that fold down with a plaid top.

Authorities say Ashlynn’s non-custodial mother, 30-year-old Amanda Taye Young, took the girl.

Amanda was wearing a pink Titans hoodie.

The pair may be in a white four-door car with an Alabama license plate and headed to Mobile, Ala. They may also be accompanied by two men.

A custodial interference warrant has been issued for Amanda.

If you can help authorities find them, call 931-762-2276 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.

I know a school who would be in major trouble if I was the grandmother. I am raising 2 of my own grandchildren due to similar issues and its unacceptable for a school system to allow children to leave with non custodial parents.

If it’s her kid what’s the problem? I would never let my ex get custody of my kids I would do the same thing. How’s it kidnapping when it’s your own kid .
