West Nile Virus found in the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile Virus are flying around in more Shelby County neighborhoods.

Testing this week confirmed the presence of West Nile in mosquitoes in three new zip codes, bringing the total number of affected Shelby County Zip Codes to 29.

The health department will be out again next week spraying insecticide in fifth-teen Memphis area neighborhoods next week.
