MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man wanted for stabbing a pregnant woman in the stomach in Binghampton is on the run.

The mother-to-be is still recovering in the hospital.

"That's my baby," Tina Stevenson said.

It is difficult for Stevenson to relive the pain of seeing her daughter after she was attacked.

The life-threatening incident started early Sunday morning, when Stevenson's youngest daughter called for help to escape her abusive ex-boyfriend.

The woman went to her pregnant sister's house to hide.

According to police, Willie Floyd showed up, and when his ex-girlfriend's pregnant sister wouldn't let him inside, he attacked.

Stevenson said her daughter was beaten with a baseball bat and stabbed in the stomach.

"And they took her to the hospital and they had to do surgery because they found a small bleeding inside of her stomach.  So she had to get surgery done," Stevenson said, crying.

The incident happened across the street from a police station, where officers are actively looking for Floyd.

The family wants Floyd caught and taken off of the streets.

If you recognize Floyd and can help detectives make an arrest, call police or Metro Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.

The family said the victim found out she is pregnant with twins. The mother-to-be and her babies are expected to be OK.
