MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A 23-year-old man is recovering at home Friday after three armed man robbed and shot him overnight.

Codarrius Joiner said he had just pulled into his aunt's driveway around 10:30 or 11 Thursday night when a masked man ran up and pistol-whipped him.

The suspect and two other masked men forced Joiner inside, then began to search for money.

Joiner said he had just been released from jail and didn't have any money.

He said the men also pistol-whipped his 26-year-old male cousin and 25-year-old female cousin.

"They stripped me naked, went outside, came back, and they shot me," Joiner said.

Joiner said he blacked out shortly thereafter, but thought of his little brother and how he needed to fight to stay alive and take care of him.

"Prayed to God, told him I ain't ready to go just yet," Joiner said.

Joiner said he doesn't know who robbed and shot him but hopes police catch the suspects soon.
