Blytheville man charged after police find pile of pot, cash inside his house

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — Brandon Anderson of 101 East Hardin Street is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anderson was arrested Saturday after Blytheville police discovered a large amount of marijuana and cash inside his Blytheville home.

Officers when to Anderson’s home after a report the burglar alarm there had been activated.

Anderson arrived at his residence just before members of the Second Judicial Drug Task Force showed up with search warrant in hand.

Officers initially said the pot weighed 100 lbs., but have downgraded the weight to 75 lbs.

They did find more than $125,000 in cash in the house, along with other drugs and firearms.

Anderson was arraigned Tuesday morning and posted a $150,000 bond.

He is scheduled to be back in Blytheville District Court Wednesday for a probable cause hearing,
