MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- One way to make sure you don't stress out on the big day is to get Wedding Insurance.

According to theknot.com, the average couple spends $30,000 on their wedding.

That's as much as, or more than, you spend on a car, and you have insurance for that.

A basic wedding insurance policy costs $155 to $550.

It covers losses associated with photos, videos, attire, presents, rings and deposits.

For example, you would be covered if there's a fire at the venue, the photographer doesn't show up, the wedding is postponed because of weather, someone in the wedding party is too ill to attend, or if the airline loses your wedding dress.

Every policy is different, so make sure you read the fine print.

You can also check vendors' ratings with the BBB before you sign any contracts to make sure they have a good reputation.
