Memphis Firefighter sick calls rise to 80

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – WREG has learned that 80 firefighters have called in sick since early Saturday Morning.

As the number of Memphis police officers who have called in sick has decreased, the number of firefighter sick calls are on the rise.

    This is a prime example of elected officials need to be elected for qualifications not color of skin. Wake up Memphis just because they’re the same color as you does not mean there going to stand by you!

    These people are upset about insurance going up they haven’t seen anything yet. The pension is going to be cut sooner or later. They can’t keep taking from the taxpayers. Enough is enough. Get another job. Quit living off the government n

      I don’t blame them. They haven’t had a raise in 7 years and yer their healthcare rates have gone up 6 times during this period. Lets all get on welfare. They get a raise in their food stamps and bogus disability checks EVERY YEAR!!!!!
