Several evaluated after suspicious envelope at Capitol in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Several blocks next to the Capitol building in Nashville have been closed off due to a suspicious substance in an envelope.

Tennessean reporter Andy Humbles reports a staffer for Speaker of the House Beth Harwell opened an envelope which has been deemed suspicious.

Humbles reports five people are being evaluated and the staffer who opened the envelope has shown no adverse reactions.

The area around where the envelope was opened has been quarantined.

Harwell was not in her office.
