‘Teenie’ Hodges dies at age 68

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Renowned Memphis musician Mabon 'Teenie' Hodges has died at age 68.

The soul legend got his start as a member of the Hi Rhythm section and went on to play guitar for Al Green.

The pair wrote some of Green's biggest hits, including "Take Me To The River" and "Love And Happiness."

Teenie was born in Germantown and had eight children.

He died in a Dallas hospital Sunday night due to complications from emphysema.
