MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tennessee Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities summarily suspended the license of a home health agency based in Memphis.

Interim HealthCare must stop providing services, and will remain summarily suspended pending the outcome of a contested case hearing or until otherwise ordered by the board.

The board may summarily suspend a license if it finds “public health, safety or welfare imperatively require emergency action.”From February 26 through April 11, 2014, a complaint investigation found violations of administration, discharge and transfers, and basic agency functions.

Interim HealthCare, which was originally licensed in 1978, is located at 2620 Thousand Oaks Boulevard.
