Omaha, NE– Seldom-used senior John Gatlin delivered a pinch-hit, walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth as Ole Miss staved off elimination in the College World Series, beating Texas Tech 2-1.

It’s the Rebels first win in Omaha since 1969, a win that wouldn’t have been possible if not for the pitching of Christian Trent.  Trent tossed eight innings of shutout baseball, striking out 6.

Ole Miss moves on to play another elimination game on Thursday.
