MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was arrested late Thursday night for forcing a 17-year-old to work as a prostitute and dancer for the past three-and-a-half years.

Harold Williams, Jr., 35, is charged with trafficking for commercial sex acts.

On April 28, the Tennessee Highway Patrol stopped the girl, who was trying to get driver’s license showing that she was an adult.

Highway patrol then contacted the Memphis Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for assistance.

She told investigators Williams told her to get it, because she had lost her other adult ID and needed one to continue dancing in adult entertainment clubs.

The girl said if she didn’t continue to prostitute or dance, Williams would beat her. She also said she had been beaten in the past for not following the rules and keeping money.

The girl later identified Williams in a photo line-up.

He is now behind bars with no bond, because he was out on bond for the same thing in Mississippi, according to the affidavit.
