Convicted felon arrested after pointing gun at officers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man, previously convicted on felony drug charges, is back in custody after reportedly pointing a gun at Memphis police.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Bryan Street early this morning after reports of gun shots being fired on Standridge Street.

As police pulled up, they saw an, ‘armed male flee the scene.’

Police say the man pointed a gun at the officers, at which time the officers pulled their guns and told him to drop the gun.

Nicholas Christian, 21, refused and started running until he was caught in the 1300 block of Standridge.

Police found a Glock Model 22, Generation 4 handgun which was reported stolen from a vehicle on May 5.

Christian was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Theft of Property over $500, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Evading Arrest.

    Ok this is about economics, rent is 500 $, utilities is 150 $, transportation is100 $ feed and cloth is another 300 $. Incidentals is another 100 $. Heath Care is 300 $. Wait a minute, McDonalds, Burger King, WindysWall-Mart, Churches Chihken, Captain Ds, they all pay minum wage. Eventhough they all generate between 30 and 200, 000 per week. We all trying to eat. We got kids too. You got a population in distitute. The folks that prosper in Memphis are the same folk in Germantown, SW Shelby County. They pit the dirt raggady poor white trash, aginst Blacks. You folks soo marble dumb, you vote republican. Then you sit back and complain about crime and Blacks. Well my daughter hungry, what would you do?

      Go get the education that you clearly lack, as evidenced by your comment, & leave the burger flipping jobs to teenagers like they used to be. If you don’t want to work hard & become educated & get a good job, then, you’re welcome to be a career fry-tosser, but don’t come robbing well-to-do, hardworking people because you can’t feed all your kids (that you shouldn’t have had), buy the new rims you want, or upgrade your trailer. This goes to blacks & whites, alike; if you want out of the hood or the trailer or whatever, nobody’s going to hand it to you. You can only take what you want at the barrel of a gun or the tip of a blade for so long before you’re dead or in jail. Get it together Memphians. . .
