Author Ace Atkins On The Latest ‘Spenser For Hire’ Novel

(WREG-TV) Ace Atkins is a former Pulitzer Prize nominated newspaper reporter turned author.

It was while working at the Tampa Bay Tribune, a case he covered inspired his critically acclaimed novel, 'White Shadow.'

In 2011 Atkins was selected by the estate of author Robert B. Parker to take over writing the Spenser series of novels, including the newest one, 'Cheap Shot.'

Atkins lives on a historic farm outside Oxford, Mississippi with his family.
